Description
Highly Sensitive Thermal Sensor
The Proton FXQ30 features a highly sensitive 384×288, 17µm <40 mK NETD thermal imaging sensor with 50Hz refresh rate, offering excellent detail recognition even in harsh conditions when thermal contrast is low — meaning even the smallest of temperature differences will be clearly visible during heavy rain, snow, and fog.
30mm F1.2 Lens
Combining the thermal sensor with a powerful, fixed focus 30mm F1.2 objective lens enables a detection range of up to 900m (when observing a standard 1.8m tall deer or human shaped object). Further improving the viewing experience, the lens is fixed focus for fast target acquisition, offers a 12.4°x9.3° field of view, ±5 dioptre adjustment, and 18mm eye relief.
HD AMOLED Display
Thermal imagery is presented onto the Proton FXQ30’s 1024×768 full colour HD AMOLED display. Offering improved colour rendering, high contrast imagery, and a clear and smooth picture, this display will provide a consistently flawless, high-definition image and a crisp, vividly detailed field of view.
Image Boost
Pulsar’s proprietary Image boost technology uses intuitive software algorithms to increase the overall image clarity and detail, resulting in a considerably sharper, more detailed field of view with enhanced object identification capabilities.
8 Colour Palettes
The Proton FXQ30 front attachment offers a choice of 8 colour palettes for a more effective observation of the field of view, optimising the unit for specific tasks, as well as enabling them to react to changing observation conditions.
White Hot, Black Hot and Red Hot are optimal for object detection; Rainbow and Ultramarine help increase chances for recognition & identification; and Red Monochrome, Sepia and Violet are most suitable for long observation in the night.
Operating Modes
Four operating modes are available to optimise this front attachment’s settings in different conditions and ambient temperatures. These four modes include Forest (for use in low temperature contrast conditions), Rocks (for use in high temperature contrast conditions), Identification (high detail mode), and User (user defined brightness and contrast settings).
Calibration Modes
The Proton FXQ30’s three calibration modes (Manual, Semi-Automatic, and Automatic) equalise the microbolometer temperature background, eliminating any defects and ensuring consistent image quality.
6 Hours Battery Life
A high capacity, rechargeable, quick-change APS5 li-ion battery provides 6 hours of operation on just a single charge (depending on temperature). Fast and easy to replace, this battery pack will provide continuous observation without any disruptions.
Display Off & Instant Start-Up
To preserve battery life, Display Off mode deactivates image transmission to the device’s display, lowering the screen brightness to an absolute minimum and entering standby mode, rather than powering down the scope entirely. Pressing the power button when the device is in standby mode will activate instant start-up and it will be ready and operational in just 3 seconds.
Magnesium Alloy Housing
The robust and durable magnesium alloy housing is shockproof and resistant against external mechanical, temperature, and climactic effects. It also serves as a heatsink, effectively dissipating any heat generated by the Proton FXQ30’s internal electronic components and improving the overall operational stability.
Lightweight & Compact
The lightweight characteristics of this device — which weighs only 300g — prevent any meaningful effect in regard to the balance of any daytime optic on which it may be installed.
IPX7 Fully Waterproof
IPX7 waterproof rated, remaining flawlessly operational in heavy rainfall, snow, dense fog, or other precipitation such as environments with high levels of humidity. It will even survive a dip in up to three feet of water for up to 30 minutes.
Operating Temperatures
The magnesium alloy housing, power unit, and electronics have all been designed to perform effortlessly in a wide range of temperatures, remaining reliable and operating effectively in temperatures from -25 to +50°C.
Built-In Video Recorder
An on-board still image and video recorder requires just one simple press of the REC button to capture an image or record a video with audio, meaning any exciting moments can be recorded, re-watched, and even shared with friends. Images and videos are stored on the integrated 16GB of internal memory.
Wi-Fi Module & Stream Vision
An integrated Wi-Fi module allows the user to connect to their Android or iOS smartphone or tablet using the Stream Vision app, offering a wide range of connectivity features, including:
Using a mobile phone as a wireless remote to control and adjust the device’s settings. View all the changes made on a smartphone or tablet screen in real-time. Recording footage or capturing still images can also be achieved through a mobile phone.
Browsing through all photos and videos recorded on the device, and downloading or sharing these files with friends.
Remotely updating the device’s firmware using Stream Vision’s remote update abilities, ensuring the Proton XQ30 is always running to the best of its ability on the latest available firmware.
Wireless Bluetooth Remote Control
All aspects of the Proton FXQ30’s operational features are wirelessly controllable using the ergonomically designed Pulsar Bluetooth Wireless Remote Control — offering a convenient way of operating the device when comfort and convenience requires the user to take their hands away.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Taking Thermal & Night Vision Outside of the UK.
Thermal imaging and night vision products are strictly controlled by ITAR regulations and are subject to UK Government Export Licensing Regulations. Dependent on specification, a licence may need to be obtained prior to the export, even temporarily (e.g. holiday), from the UK.
Additionally, some countries may be embargoed, and no thermal imagers or night vision devices can be taken or exported to them. It is the responsibility of the exporter, whether it be a company or individual, to ensure that such a licence is obtained.
Failure to comply is a criminal offence.
