Description
Powerful Thermal Optics
The Thermion 2 XG50’s extremely sensitive 640×480, 12µm, <40mK NETD thermal sensor, combined with a powerful 50mm f1.0 germanium objective lens, offers pin-sharp, richly contrasted thermal imagery and an astonishing detection range of up to 2300m – even in adverse conditions when thermal contrast is low, such as heavy rain, dense fog, and snow.
Variable Magnification
The Thermion 2 XG50’s 3.0-24.0x base magnification can be increased eight times, with a smooth digital zoom that is adjustable in 2x steps or continuously for an excellent balance of magnification and visible field of view in a variety of situations.
Ambidextrous Lens Focusing
Ambidextrous, ergonomically designed focusing wheels located on either side of the Thermion 2 XG50’s objective lens enable fast and easy focusing, allowing the user to maintain a crystal clear image at any range.
3 Sensitivity Amplification Levels
A selection of 3 sensitivity amplification levels, combined with Pulsar’s smoothing filter and fine brightness/contrast adjustments, allows this riflescope to provide greater observation opportunities at long range. These features achieve excellent levels of definition of an animal’s anatomical features and ensures clear rendering of background objects within the riflescopes field of view.
HD AMOLED Display
Thermal imagery is presented in astonishing detail onto a 1024×768 HD AMOLED display for a picture that always remains crisp and clearly detailed – even in cold conditions. A 29.5° wide-angle eyepiece and the wide viewing angle of this AMOLED display will ensure consistently comfortable image perception.
Picture-In-Picture Mode
Picture in Picture (PiP) mode uses 10% of the AMOLED display to allow the user to view an HD zeroing frame in which a magnified image of the target and reticle can be viewed. PiP mode will simultaneously allow for closer inspection of an observed object whilst retaining visual control over the entire field of view.
Up to 10 Hours Battery Life
Using a dual battery system, with one internal battery and one removable and rechargeable battery, the Thermion 2 XG50 offers effective power for up to 10 hours (depending on temperature), allowing users to continue their hunt well into the night. The replaceable battery is incredibly easy to remove, allowing for fast battery replacement, even in total darkness. Embossment on this replaceable battery’s body has been included to make location and replacement of a flat battery as easy as possible in complete darkness.
Five Shooting Profiles
Zeroing settings are stored in five available shooting profiles, each of which can be set up for several types of rifles or cartridges. These zeroing profiles can then store up to ten zeroing distances, with a total of fifty possible zeroing distances available.
Customisable Reticles
The Thermion 2 XG50 features an electronically displayed reticle in the same plane as the target, with ten reticle configurations and functions available (direct shot type, ballistic, scalable and regular) in nine colour modes for a fully customisable experience.
Eight Colour Palettes
To achieve more effective observation capabilities, a choice of 8 colour palettes is available; optimising the riflescope for specific tasks, reacting to changing conditions in the observation area and ensuring observation is unimpeded.
White Hot, Black Hot, and Red Hot are the perfect choice for object detection; Rainbow and Ultramarine are great for recognition and identification; and Red Monochrome, Sepia, and Violet are ideal for night-time observation.
Classic Day Scope Aesthetics
The Thermion 2 XG50 retains the classic design aesthetics of a regular day scope to make sure it never looks out of place when mounted on a rifle. Just like a normal day scope, this thermal imaging riflescope will mount on a rifle using standard 30mm rings.
High Calibre Recoil Resistance
Designed to withstand high-impact shocks, the Thermion 2 XG50 is perfect for use with high calibre rifles (of 9.3×64, .30-06, .300, .375H&H, etc.), as well as with smooth-bore or pneumatic rifles.
Withstands the Elements
A rugged magnesium alloy housing makes sure this thermal imaging riflescope can withstand bumps and scrapes whilst out in the field. This bodyshell also works as a heat-sink, dissipating any heat generated by the device and protecting the internal electronics.
IPX7 Waterproof
The IPX7 waterproof rating ensures the riflescope remains operational in heavy rain, fog, high humidity, snow, and even after immersion in water at a depth of 1m for up to 30 minutes.
Stream Vision 2
Easily connect the Thermion 2 XG50 to Stream Vision 2 using an Android/iOS smartphone or tablet and discover a wide range of additional connectivity features, including:
The ability to use a mobile phone as a wireless remote to control and adjust the riflescope’s settings. View all the changes made on a smartphone or tablet screen in real-time. This feature also allows for remote recording of footage or hands-free capturing of still images.
A gallery of photos and videos captured on the device can be browsed through and downloaded. These videos and images can also be shared easily between social media channels and friends.
The ability to remotely update the device’s firmware, meaning users can enjoy all the latest features and ensure their scope is always running to the best of its ability.
16GB Storage
16GB of integrated storage is included, meaning images and videos captured on the device can be stored on its internal memory. Alternatively, users can take advantage of the 16GB of FREE cloud storage offered on the Stream Vision 2 app. Photos and videos can also be downloaded to a laptop or PC via simple connection of a USB-C cord.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Taking Thermal & Night Vision Outside of the UK.
Thermal imaging and night vision products are strictly controlled by ITAR regulations and are subject to UK Government Export Licensing Regulations. Dependent on specification, a licence may need to be obtained prior to the export, even temporarily (e.g. holiday), from the UK.
Additionally, some countries may be embargoed, and no thermal imagers or night vision devices can be taken or exported to them. It is the responsibility of the exporter, whether it be a company or individual, to ensure that such a licence is obtained.
Failure to comply is a criminal offence.
